Attending 2023 Korea International Cooperation Conference on Oceans and Fisheries

The Korea International Cooperation Conference on Oceans and Fisheries(abbreviated as KICCOF-2023) was held in Signiel Busan, Haeundae-gu, Busan, on the afternoon of May 30 to explore ways to cooperate in the marine fisheries sector between Korea and the Pacific Islands.
This year's event of KICCOF, the 10th of its career, was held as an attitude country special to be linked to the Korea-Pacific Book Bureau Summit
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Cho Seung-hwan, Secretary-General of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), Henry Puna, 14 Pacific leaders or vice ministers, and heads of ODA agencies, including Kang Do-hyung, director of the KIOST.
Following the announcement of the K-Ocean Economy Initiative, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' international cooperation vision for sustainable development, Director Kang Do-hyung briefly introduced KIOST's activities at Korea·South Pacific Ocean Research Center in the Federal Territory of Micronesia
On the other hand, top officials from the attitude countries, who took the final stage of the day's general debate, said that the attitude countries should more actively utilize marine territory 99 times their territory, and cited projects first proposed and being carried out by KIOST.
